“ Great brewery. You can't beat the gorgeous outdoor patio on a warm day with ample seating, space, and umbrellas to avoid a sunburn. The beer is fresh and tasty, and the food options are excellent. We've tried their meatball sandwich and a few pizzas and highly recommend all of them. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside (but also kind of a pro depending on your preference) is that dogs are not allowed inside. Totally understand this choice, but it does make it hard on cold and rainy days which come pretty often in Issaquah. ”
“ Just a dude who likes beer and food. This place is a solid local spot. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The beer is delicious, pizza is top notch. Our kids love coming here playing some board games while mom and dad socialize. Give it a try if you're on the fence. ”
“ Great spot to enjoy a pizza and a brewski outdoors on a warm day with your dog. Tons of seating inside and out. Order at the counter and take a number. They have a nice selection of beers including a sour or two. Mostly pizzas for food but a couple other options as well. I got a small size hot honey pie which was served piping hot. It's cheesy and sloppy with fresh ingredients. It's definitely got a hefty kick to it too, a touch more than I was expecting but I was able to get it down. The heat hits a bit harder under the sun. Issaquah is a pricey area so your bill will add up quickly. A 4-slice pizza and pint of beer was already crossing $30. No table service, just sit down and eat, but the bartender was very helpful offering suggestions. They can be a bit slow bussing tables on a busy day. Easy parking right up front. Overall a good spot. ”
“ I was so surprised how good the food and pizza was here... esp the hot honey pizza which I find myself thinking about from time to time. There is ample outdoor and indoor seating, parking is a bit tricky but there is a front and back lot, and staff is super patient and friendly, esp since I'm not a beer drinker and had no idea what I wanted. They were generous with explaining and letting me sample which was super nice! Would totally come back here again, especially for the pizza! ”
“ A solid brewery featuring a nice rotating selection of beers, with better than average pizza to boot. Formula Brewing is a great casual place to hang out with family. I have family that lives in Issaquah and this place has quietly become a go to spot whenever we visit. There are plenty of tables both indoors and outdoors, and I can always find a pour or two that I really enjoy. The pizza they serve here is legitimately tasty, especially the Honey Hot. I just wish there were a few more quality food items on their menu. So with a limited menu, this place is a brewery first, that happens to have some pretty good pizza. It's a great place to hang out and catch a game, and the weekend crowds are a testament to that. I just wonder what this place could be if they dished out some mean hot sandwiches like a meatball sub or a hot roast beef toasted in a pizza oven. Just saying. ”
“ Going big on this one! We just moved to Issaquah and of course the first thing I look up is breweries lol. This spot has become my go-to spot for good beer and pizza. They have a nice outdoor area and plenty of tables inside as well. It does get packed if a big game is on, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. Beer (4): They have a great selection. Drafts rotate but their staples are always good. Food (4): Their pizzas are pretty good. I could always use crispier crust, but they do a decent job. Major plus (for me)... since we just moved from SoCal, we needed a place to watch Chargers games. There's a large Chargers contingent here and they play their games (as long as it doesn't conflict with Seahawks of course)! So vibe is awesome. Staff is awesome. Couldn't be happier with this spot. ”
“ It's been a while I've been here. No reason. A legitimate brewery with excellent food, excellent beers, cocktails, ciders, and food. I had two low octane brews on this visit. The first, Salmon Rodeo, 3.8% German Lager. A light refreshing beer. The second one was a bit stronger and so good! Chasing automobiles, belles lager, 4.9 %. Complexity and depth in the flavor. Surprisingly multi flavored beer that got better as it warmed up a bit. Yummy! The host of the gathering ordered some appetizers which were also tasty. The wings were so tasty! Served with a blue cheese sauce and the meat fell off the bone. Puta bread with an artichoke dip (I think) , always excellent service and good vibes. Music playing just loud enough. The parking lot in front is tiny. I usually park down the way a bit and walk in. It's super easy and short. Do it! Treat yourself. SYOY! ”
“ As someone who's not a huge fan of beer, I don't frequent beer gardens, however I gladly joined a group of eight for a social gathering one Wednesday evening. The atmosphere is super casual as guests can just grab a table and people can come and go as they please. While there is ample seating inside, I appreciated the large number of tables outside; we were lucky enough to get one that was covered. While the seating is comfortable enough, the area is pretty loud and I felt like I had to yell even when just talking to the person across from me. It seemed like the conversation was bouncing off of the tent above and there's also noise coming from the nearby freeway. For my drink of choice, I selected the PINEAPPLE RAIN SOUR (5.5% ABV) by Urban Family Brewing. I was debating whether to order one of their beers that are brewed in-house, but when I saw "pineapple", I was automatically swayed. I enjoyed my sour which had a subtle fruity flavor, but I wish I could taste the notes of vanilla as advertised in its description. They allow you to sample any of the options on tap, which you can order in 10 oz. or 16 oz. sizes. If you're seeking a non-alcoholic beverage, their lemonades seem really popular. Our group ordered a couple appetizers and three 16" pizzas which was more than enough food. + SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP: A creamy mix of cream cheese, sour cream, spinach, artichokes, garlic, red onion and jalapeño. It came served with warm and chewy bread dippers which I believe were made from their pizza dough. They were sturdy and held up well to the rich dip which had a nice hint of heat. + FORMULA WINGS: 10 total wingettes and drumettes seasoned with the house dry rub and tossed in our choice of BBQ sauce. The wings were juicy and tender, and I enjoyed the smoky sweetness of the BBQ sauce. This is a solid appetizer. + VEGGIE PIZZA: A medley of artichokes, black olives, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms and red onion covered the base of mozzarella cheese base. I appreciated the generous serving of toppings which were pretty evenly dispersed, and enjoyed the slight crunch of the bell peppers. I normally wouldn't opt for artichokes on my pizza, but since they were cut up into thinner pieces rather than in chunks, I barely noticed them. + BIG BOY PIZZA: A delicious combination of ham, sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon and jalapeño. The menu stated this also included red onion, but I didn't taste that at all. Regardless, this was a delicious pizza that brought the heat! I loved the savory sausage crumbles especially. Both pizzas had a nice thin-ish crust that was also soft without being overly doughy. They were served piping hot and the cheese was so gooey. Although I didn't try the C-B-R (Chicken Bacon Ranch) PIZZA, it appeared to be a hit with the group. As a final note, there is limited parking in front of the building, so you can find extra space in the gravel lot that is around the corner. Overall, Formula Brewing is a great venue for an informal gathering, especially during the warmer months! ”
“ The ambience is sporty, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The outdoor area is perfect for sunny days! We tried the Hot Sauce Wings and paired them with a Classic Hazy IPA. The wings were generously sized and packed with flavor, and the chicken was incredibly tender. However, the hot sauce was a bit overpowering; having it on the side would have been a better choice. On a positive note, the beer was light, refreshing, and had a nice kick. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and wings! I'll definitely be back. Just a heads up: parking is limited and can be tough to find. It's best to visit during off-peak hours to avoid the hassle. ”
“ So many people have recommended this place to me and I finally got to check it out. I did not have their food so this is just a review of the venue and beers. The place was surprisingly huge. It's quite hard to find unless you know where it is (or GPS the location). Similar to some of the other local breweries, it's in the middle of nowhere inside an industrial park. It's next to fly fishing gear and trampoline stores. They offer parking spots right in front and there are indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating area is quite loud due to all the cars that go by (it's right off the freeway) but I am sure it wouldn't matter much when there are lots of people. I went right at opening and all I could hear was the freeway noise. I ordered the flight. You get to choose 4 of their 12-13 beers on tap. Prices range from 2.75 to 3.75 per beer and it was about....I would say ...4oz pour each. The more expensive options had ABV of over 11%. I really enjoyed both the barleywine and imperial stout (which won gold recently at the 2024 World Beer Cup). Their beers were much much better than Bellevue Brewing Company for sure. Service was good. Nothing crazy or anything but just right. Very chill and relaxed vibes. Because the weather was so nice when I visited, it kind of felt like I was at a brewery in San Diego. I will be back for food another time. ”
